Privacy notice

Plain-English version for the Robes beta. Last updated October 2026.

What we collect

Your email, name and the styling inputs you give us — prompts, wardrobe items, any photos you upload (including the optional close-up under Your digital twin), and the facts you give about your size — never your weight. We also record how you use Robes: the pages you open and the actions you take.

How it's used

Only to run Robes for you: generating looks and analyses, storing your wardrobe and style profile, and improving the product during beta. Photos are sent to our AI providers (Google Gemini, Anthropic) solely to produce your results, and images are hosted on Cloudinary. Your profile lives in Supabase; waitlist and feedback records live in Airtable; how the app is used is measured in PostHog, on European servers. We never sell your data.

Your digital twin

If you add a close-up under Your digital twin, Robes uses it twice. It reads your colouring from it, and it uses it as the reference for your model — a generated full-length image of you, built from your face in the photograph and from the facts you give (height, size, bust, waist, age). Every look Robes then composes for you is rendered on that model, so the pictures of your looks carry your face. The model image is generated by Google Gemini from your close-up and your facts, and it is stored on our image host, Cloudinary, alongside your wardrobe photographs. Nothing is read from your body in a photograph: your line comes from the facts and the sliders you set, and you can change either at any time. Remove the close-up and the model is redrawn without your face; remove your account and the model goes with it. During the beta your looks are not shared with anyone else.

Session recordings

So we can see where Robes is confusing, PostHog records sessions in the app — the pages you open, what you click, and what you type, including the prompts you write. Your wardrobe photographs appear in them, because they are on the screen as you work. Passwords are never recorded. Recordings are stored on European servers, are visible only to us, and are never used for advertising.

Emails from Robes

Robes can email you: when the three looks you asked for are ready, the odd note when your wardrobe is ready for more (a look waiting on your model, pieces Robes is borrowing, a week with nothing planned), and, if you switch it on, a morning line on the days you have planned. Every one of these is a choice you make in the app — the looks-ready note and the nudges with one tap on your first day, the morning line under Account details — and every email carries a one-click link to stop it. We send them through Resend. There are no tracking pixels: we record that an email was sent, and whether you opened Robes from its link, nothing more.

Receipts you forward

If you forward an order confirmation to your own Robes address (yours alone, shown under Add a piece → Forward a receipt), Robes reads the email to find the pieces in it — their names, brands, colours, prices, sizes and product photographs — and holds them on your wardrobe page until you look them over. When the receipt has been read, Robes emails you to say so, with a link to the review; that email carries the same one-click stop as every other. Nothing is filed into your wardrobe without you. The reading is done by Google Gemini, the same model that reads your photographs; the email's text is kept only as the pieces it produced, and product images are copied to our image host so they survive the retailer's link expiring. Forward only emails you are happy for Robes to read.

Your choices

The close-up is optional — every step that asks for a photograph can be skipped, and a model can be drawn from your facts alone. You can update or remove wardrobe items at any time, and you can request full deletion of your account and data by emailing us. That includes your session recordings — ask and we will delete them.
